Exploration of the Geology of Washington State
Traveling through Washington state for an amazing week of geology field work. Twenty nine, bilingual, 6th graders from the French American School of Puget Sound explore some of the spectacular geological sites of our state to learn about the processes that form our landscapes.
Thank you Mrs. Joubert (Sciences), Mrs. Blick (Mathematics), Mr. Gunther (Technology), Mr. Penin (French) and Mrs. Gueye-Oue (French as a Second Language) for your intellectual curiosity, organizational skills, and sense of humor while exploring the geology of Washington with these students!

Dino Weekend with the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Northwest - B. Ierulli, and J. Heide and Dinosaur Illustrator - M. Orsen
Another successful Dino Weekend at the Burke and the last of these events in the "old" museum building!
The Guild is looking forward for its future involvement with inspiring young generations that learn by drawing as the Burke reinvents itself. The Guid will be ready when the museum is.

A discussion with cohort 14 students on visual approaches to reach different audiences when sharing research results. At the intersection of marine sciences, arts, and humanities - a reflection on how scientists become inspiring science communicators.
" Living Volcanoes in the Pacific Ocean" - Marine Sciences Integrated Program - Ms. R. Araniva and Ms. A. Kveven
Q&A session with students curious about spreading centers and hydrothermal vent systems in Earth's oceans.
