 March 16 2020
Due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemy spreading through the  world,
all face to face events have been cancelled until the end of  August.

Despite   the drastic measures that  each county  is taking to manage this unprecedented health crisis,   the world keeps turning ...
At a slower pace... without noise... without traffic... without crowds... without the incessant hustle and bustle that we generate.

Nature is here for us. Spring  is bursting in the Northern hemisphere. Birds are singing louder than ever. And wild life  is  returning to spaces that we  usually occupy...

For those who  love the natural world , this is  a privileged time. A time to wander, to observe, to muse  over,   to sketch, and to paint. A time to focus on nature, and nurture self and others safely. A time to let the wide world and its constant distractions fade away.

I am  currently in France and will stay there for weeks or months. I don't know.

I look forward  to   making new discoveries in the garden and in the countryside around our village. Eager to lose myself  in the  subtle colors of a wild orchid that sways  in  the  breeze  rustling through the grasses of a trail that I have walked hundreds of times. As  I sketch and mix colors on my palette, I experience the environment with all my senses.   Creating  is a haven from these trying and uncertain times and  a soothing escape from the  worries of the world.
